From one image to 3D

The Idol demonstration shown by AI Search takes a photograph or render and represents an object using three-dimensional Gaussians. The result can be viewed from different angles.

What happens to hidden surfaces?

The model estimates parts that are not visible in the input. Its reconstructed back should not be assumed to match the real object exactly.

Adjustable detail

The demonstration compares examples with 32 thousand, 262 thousand and about one million Gaussians. A denser representation can add detail while changing resource requirements.

Model files and hardware

The publisher’s model card reports approximately 7.2 GB of graphics memory. Actual requirements depend on hardware, software and settings; the weight file size is not total runtime memory.

Check access and licences

Review the terms of the main model and each dependency separately. The model card notes that some image encoders have their own access and licence conditions.
